Job summary

Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC), now part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and support advanced cardiovascular care in Prescott, AZ.

You will use state-of-the-art imaging equipment, follow ICAEL standards, and collaborate with physicians to guide patient management across acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Completion of an approved echocardiography program.
• CCI-registered Cardiac Sonographer within 12 months.
• RDCS-registered Cardiac Sonographer within 12 months.
• BLS certification as required by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Verifies orders in Cerner by ordering physician for the examination.
• Conducts vital signs (BP, height, weight) and assigns billable diagnosis to complete the exam.
• Enters pertinent information into the Ultrasound machine.
• Obtains patient DOB, name, and cardiologist status prior to exam.
• Explains echocardiogram process to patient and family.
• Performs echocardiography following ICAEL standards and uploads images to PACS.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Completion of an echocardiography program

Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) within 12 months

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 12 months

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
