Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's YRMC in Prescott, AZ is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join our cardiac team. You will perform diagnostic echocardiography to guide treatments for heart failure, rhythm disorders, and acute events.

The role requires mastery of echocardiography equipment, patient positioning, and producing high-quality images. You will work with Cardiologists and be part of a network of hospitals and outpatient imaging centers within our health system.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED or higher with an echocardiography program.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or RDCS.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders in Cerner and record vital data to complete the exam.
• Enter patient data into the ultrasound system and confirm demographic details.
• Explain the echocardiogram to patients and families.
• Perform echocardiograms following ICAEL standards and send images to PACS.
• Prepare a preliminary report for the reading Cardiologist.
• Submit final exam report and billing details after cardiologist review.
