Tampa General Hospital is seeking a skilled professional for their Cardiovascular Center. In this role, you will perform a variety of cardiac-related procedures while ensuring quality patient care and compliance with hospital standards. Ideal candidates will have the required certifications and experience in a non-invasive cardiology lab.
Tampa General Hospital’s Cardiovascular Center has six cardiac catheterization laboratories, including two EP labs and seven interventional radiology suites. TGH was most recently awarded full Atrial Fibrillation with Electrophysiology Services Accreditation status from SCPC for its expertise and commitment to quality patient care.
Pay differential ratios - Nights 19% / Evening 15% / Weekend 5% shift differential.
Under supervision of the Non-Invasive Cardiology Manager and according to established policies and procedures, performs cardiac-related procedures/tests on various age groups of patients.
Assists physicians during procedures such as stress tests, tilt tables, and TEE's when required, and independently performs tests including echocardiograms and EKGs.
Documents appropriate images and values during procedures, and ensures patient rights are maintained.
Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, and values.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is primarily performed in patient care settings involving extensive interaction with patients, staff, physicians, family members, and visitors.
Involves considerable walking, lifting, bending, stooping, standing for long periods, and exposure to bodily fluids. Pushing and pulling patients, stretchers, and machinery are involved. Lifting supplies is also required. Exposure to radiation occurs but with minimal risk when safety procedures are followed. Risk of back injuries/muscle strains from lifting and positioning patients or pushing carts.
