Position performs echocardiogram testing per physician order, adhering to established departmental policy and procedure. Incumbent uses and maintains equipment per departmental policy and procedure, to ensure test quality, patient safety, and to prevent downtime interference with service provision. The position complies with Augusta Health and departmental policies and procedures including employee’s handbook, safety guidelines, quality improvement and infection control in accordance with organizational vision and philosophy. Incumbent annually reviews policy and procedure for fire/safety, code blue, disaster, and hazardous materials to assure safety of co-workers, patients, family/significant other, and self in the non-invasive vascular lab environment.
