Job summary

Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join a highly skilled cardiovascular team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. You’ll perform adult echocardiographic studies and collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other professionals committed to clinical excellence.

Responsibilities include M-Mode, 2D, contrast, Doppler, stress echocardiography, dobutamine studies, and transesophageal procedures, with per diem shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS registry eligibility must be obtained within six months of hire.
• CPR certification is required.
• Completion of an accredited echocardiography program or a bachelor’s degree in life science is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic procedures on adult patients in the Cardiology Noninvasive Laboratory (M-Mode, 2D, contrast echocardiography, pulsed and continuous wave Doppler, color flow Doppler).
• Conduct stress echocardiography, dobutamine echocardiography, and transesophageal echocardiography as assigned.
• Support and participate in achieving departmental goals.

Cardiac Sonographers will perform echocardiographic procedures on adult patients in the Cardiology Noninvasive Laboratory including M-Mode echocardiography, Two-Dimensional echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, pulsed, continuous wave, and color flow doppler echocardiography, stress echocardiography, dobutamine echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and to perform related duties as assigned.This position supports and participates in achieving departmental goals.

Work Schedule: Per Diem, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Registration or registry eligible as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or RCS must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Will be required to become certified in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited program in echocardiography or a bachelor’s degree in life science is preferred.
