Job description

Join the Imaging Team at Piedmont Walton

Piedmont Walton is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our highly skilled and collaborative cardiovascular imaging team. This position performs high-quality adult transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs) and assists with transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) procedures in a busy hospital-based environment serving both inpatient and outpatient populations. We perform adult cardiac studies only and do not provide pediatric echocardiography services.

Our sonographers work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information that directly impacts patient care. We are committed to excellence in imaging, patient-centered care, teamwork, and continuous professional growth.

As a high-volume department, we value quality over quantity and are looking for someone who takes pride in producing accurate, diagnostic-quality studies, demonstrates a strong work ethic, is dependable, works well independently, and understands the importance of flexibility and teamwork. We offer a supportive team environment, exposure to a wide variety of cardiac pathology, and opportunities to expand your knowledge and experience.

This is a day-shift position with several scheduling options currently available, including 3x12-hour shifts, 4x10-hour shifts, or 5x8-hour shifts per week. We strive to offer scheduling flexibility whenever possible and will discuss available options during the hiring process. Once hired, employees maintain a consistent weekly schedule.

Why join our team?

We have an experienced, supportive group of sonographers who are passionate about echocardiography and committed to providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with an engaged cardiology team, encounter a diverse range of cardiac pathology, and be part of a department that values quality, teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.

If you are passionate about echocardiography, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and want to be part of a team that genuinely cares about patients and each other, we would love to hear from you.

Previous vascular ultrasound experience is preferred but not required. Structural heart experience is welcomed but not required.
