Job summary

Riverside Methodist Hospital is hiring a full-time Cardiac Sonographer for day shifts. The Cardiac Imaging Lab operates around the clock and on-call duties are required about 3 nights a month, plus one weekend per month.

You will perform echocardiograms, vascular studies, and complete follow-up paperwork, while maintaining equipment and supporting patient care. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external applicants with a one-year commitment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Two-year allied health program and RDCS/RCS or registry eligible within 12 months.

Riverside Methodist Hospital is hiring a full-time, day shift Cardiac Sonographer (10-hour shifts). The Cardiac Imaging Lab is 24/7 and requires our Cardiac Sonographers to take call approximately 3 nights per month. There is also a weekend requirement of one Saturday and one Sunday per month (8-hour shifts). Responsible for performing diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, vascular studies, and follow-up paperwork for each procedure. Displays caring, courteous behavior in dealing with patients and their families, coworkers, physicians, and guests of the hospital.**Responsibilities And Duties:**50% Performs ultrasound imaging. 20% Prepares required reports. 10% Maintains files. 10% Maintains equipment. Provides needed statistics. 5% Handles telephone to schedule and provide information. 5% Reviews results of echocardiogram with physicians and performs quality assurance activities.
