Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Nurse in the Puget Sound region. You will care for patients with cardiac events and help families navigate daily care and long-term plans outside the hospital.

Expect a dynamic, fast-paced environment with emphasis on thorough assessments and collaboration with cardiology teams. The role emphasizes device monitoring, medications, IV therapies, and ongoing patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN license.
• Washington State RN license upon hire.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform and monitor cardiovascular diagnostics and stress testing with EKG interpretation.
• Assess, triage, and manage cardiac patients with providers for treatments and interventions.
• Provide patient education and care coordination for procedures and aftercare.
• Administer medications and IV therapies, monitor cardiac devices, and assist with treatment planning.
• Complete documentation and regulatory forms with accurate EMR records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiovascular care team to deliver high-quality patient care.
