St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks an RN to provide direct nursing care per policy and care plans. The role emphasizes coordination across disciplines, patient-centred care, and active involvement in rounds and discharge planning.

The position supports ongoing professional growth with residency enrollment, tuition assistance, and loan forgiveness, plus full benefits and on-site parking. Shift: Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associate degree required, BSN preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Experience in cardiac care, critical care, or medical-surgical units.
• Continuing education in cardiovascular care, diagnostic procedures and ambulatory settings is valuable; CVN or ACLS can enhance qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors, records and communicates patient condition.
• Acts as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates ability to address physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and age-related needs.
• Delegates care to other nursing staff to meet patient needs and maximize staff performance.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds and contributes to outcomes.
• Adheres to ANA standards and ethics; engages in professional growth.
• Develops, implements and revises individualized care plans.
• Participates in activities for professional development outside patient care.
