Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a Cardiac Monitoring and Interpreting Technician (0.8 FTE). You will monitor, analyze and provide preliminary interpretations of heart rhythms and physiological data while patients rest or exercise.

You’ll support patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care. Responsibilities include device handling, data recording and patient education, with a focus on accuracy and safety during monitoring procedures.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care experience preferred.
• Education aligned with health science field preferred.
• Must be able to multitask and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Surveillance, analysis and preliminary interpretation of heart rhythm patterns and physiological parameters.
• Provide direct patient care and education to patients.
• Operate and troubleshoot monitoring devices, calibrate equipment and document data in reporting systems.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to respond to abnormal physiology.
