MemorialCare is seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join the Fitness First team in a per diem, day shift role at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. The position offers a $29.00/hr pay rate and involves cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, group exercise classes, and collaboration with nursing and respiratory staff for adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or related field required.
• Graduate Degree preferred.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
• EKG/Rhythm Recognition class certificate of completion preferred (≥85% within 6 months of hire).
• American College of Sports Medicine Fitness Instructor Certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides education to clients, patients, and families.
• Contributes to the treatment plan of care including Phase 2 Cardiac Rehabilitation as needed.
• Manages supervision of exercise in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Fitness First.
• Assists Cardiac Rehabilitation nurses with charts, statistics, and outcomes.
