Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia, seeks an RN PRN for Cardiac Rehab Services to support patient care across the care continuum. You will apply nursing assessments, plan and deliver care, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license, BCLS and ACLS certifications, and at least two years of nursing experience. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to contribute to one of the region's leading acute

Qualifications

• RN license is required for this role.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 12 months of start date.
• Degree in nursing (Associate or Bachelor).
• Two years of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates accountability for essential clinical knowledge to positively affect patient outcomes within the scope of nursing practice while assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating care.
• Demonstrates strong and accurate clinical judgment and competent nursing skills while following established policies including confidentiality.
• Documents effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
• Incorporates time management and prioritizes for efficiency and productivity.
• Follows LGMC process for dispensing medications and narcotics control with clinical judgment.
