Qualifications

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or multistate compact license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Previous cardiac nursing experience including cardiac rehab, telemetry, ICU, cath lab or related cardiovascular specialty.
• Special competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and recognizing emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments with review of history, meds, diagnostics, and risk factors.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans with the team.
• Monitor ECG rhythm, heart rate, bp, oxygen saturation during rehab sessions.
• Provide patient and family education on cardiovascular disease, medications, exercise, and risk-factor modification.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and coordinate care transitions.
