Job summary

Ardent Health Services seeks a Registered Nurse for Cardiac Rehabilitation in Pocatello, Idaho. This day shift, full-time role supports Phase 2 and Phase 3 rehab patients and works with the Cardiac Rehab team to provide education, monitoring, and care.

Responsibilities include vitals, telemetry, education, and supervision; a strong clinical background and Idaho RN licensure are required, with BLS due within 14 days of hire. BSN is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Strong clinical background required.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS Instructor Certification preferred.
• Previous experience as a nurse educator/instructor in the clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates responsible management of all departmental resources, including personnel, supplies and equipment.
• Develops, coordinates and evaluates an effective education program to meet the needs of community, hospital and department.
• Phase 2 patients: Take patient vitals and enter results into the telemetry system; Provide clinical assessments; Recognize abnormal rhythms and report to Cardiology as needed; Communicate with Cardiology physicians, mid-levels and nursing staff as needed.
• Phase 3 patients: Supervise exercise sessions; Document results; Occasionally perform patient glucose testing; Cross train and provide patient education in Cardiovascular Disease and risk factors; Perform initial evaluation using sub-max treadmill testing.
