Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for Cardiac Rehab at East Cobb Health Park on a PRN basis. The role uses an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate cardiac care during day shifts (7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.), with no evenings, weekends, or holidays required.

Qualifications

• All RN certifications required upon hire.
• Previous Cardiac care experience strongly preferred.
• Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
• Ability to read, write and speak English; strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation) delivering evidence-based, individualized care.
• Provide patient-centered care respecting age, gender, disease and cultural diversity.
• Collaborate with patients and families using bedside shift reports, rounds, and planned teaching to align with patient goals.
• Document promptly and maintain a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
• Participate in performance improvement and research activities to promote safe, high-quality care.
• Serve as a preceptor/mentor to staff and students to ensure a qualified future workforce.
• Promote evidence-based practice and adhere to accreditation standards and policies.
