Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is seeking a part-time Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist to interpret stress test data and develop individualized exercise programs.

You will work with physicians to determine eligibility and progression, educate patients on risk reduction, and collaborate with cardiology staff to optimize rehabilitation outcomes. Training and BLS certification may be required within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology is required.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret stress test data and design individualized exercise programs.
• Collaborate with physicians on program eligibility and progression.
• Educate patients on exercise and risk reduction.
• Refer patients to rehabilitation services and liaise with care teams.
• Support in supervising or mentoring staff pursuing certification.
• Assist in outpatient rehabilitation sessions and patient positioning.
• Adhere to safety and age-appropriate care guidelines.
