Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center is seeking a skilled Exercise Physiologist to support inpatient cardiac rehab patients on a PRN days schedule.

The role involves educating guests from post-op day one, assisting with mobility, monitoring vitals, and coordinating exercise therapy based on test data and medication status. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree with BLS certification and 2+ years of inpatient exercise physiology experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field is required; Master's preferred.
• 2+ years of Exercise Physiology experience in an inpatient high-acuity hospital is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation.
• Plan and teach exercise therapy using test data, patient status, and current medications.
• Monitor patient responses and revise plans accordingly.
• Maintain department equipment, calibrations, and records; schedule patient appointments.
• Provide department oversight in the absence of the manager.
