Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to support cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. The role provides expert clinical assessment, tailored exercise prescriptions, and risk-factor education within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include mentoring interns, supervising student interns, and serving as a clinical resource for the team while ensuring adherence to AACVPR, AHA, and ACSM standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Cardiac Rehabilitation or related field.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
• Experience interpreting GXT tests and updating personalized exercise prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments and evaluations.
• Provide instruction on and monitoring of exercise therapy.
• Develop and consult on individualized exercise prescriptions.
• Deliver education on risk factors and exercise in both individual and classroom settings.
• Document patient progress and communicate with referring physicians.
