Job summary

McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center in Springfield, OR seeks a Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologist to guide education, risk factor reduction, and exercise for patients in Phase I and II rehab.

The role is SEIU Local 49 represented with an hourly base rate, 40 hours per week, and a focus on patient accountability and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• B.S. in accredited Exercise Physiology program (M.S. preferred).
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification required on hire.
• Current BLS, ACLS certification or obtain within 90 days of Employment.
• 1 year previous experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation preferred.
• EKG/rhythm interpretation training required.
• Proficient in telemetry interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• The Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologist is a professional clinician who specializes and assists patients in guided education, risk factor reduction and exercise.
• Ability to work in Phases I and II cardiac rehabilitation.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients during clinic sessions and performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
