Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC, seeks a Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab Specialist to coordinate and deliver evidence-based rehab programs for adult patients.

The role focuses on risk reduction, behavior modification, and lifestyle change, with responsibilities including patient assessment, program development, education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field and BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or related field.
• Certified in Basic Life Support or certified within 3 months of employment.
• Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, risk factors and behavior modification.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates rehab programs, documents patient progress and follow-up.
• Assist in new patient evaluation, orientation, and exercise testing.
• Supervise exercise sessions and maintain patient records and charges.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rehabilitation meetings and CQI processes.
• Promotes patient education and maintains safety during therapy sessions.
