Job summary

UVA Health, a major academic medical center, seeks a registered nurse to deliver direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team. You will develop, implement, and refine treatment plans with patients and families, while seeking feedback to advance clinical practice.

A beginning leadership role with mentoring is anticipated as you grow. The role requires a BSN within 5 years of hire, 1 year of relevant experience, VA RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS within 6 months is also required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients and families.
• Seek and provide feedback to improve clinical practice.
• Assist with mentoring and onboarding of new team members.
• Adhere to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and institutional policies.
