Job summary

Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth invites new graduate RNs to apply for the Graduate Nurse Residency Program in the Intermediate Cardiac PCU. The next cohort begins February 22, 2027, with a 15-month employment commitment and structured mentoring.

Residents rotate through home units and other departments to gain broad exposure, building skills for complex hospital care while benefiting from instructor-led curriculum and 360-degree evaluations.

Qualifications

• RN licensure (Texas or Compact State) required
• BCLS certification prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• Graduated within the last 12 months preferred
• Less than one year experience at the time the residency begins preferred
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Participate in guided clinical experiences with an instructor-led core curriculum
• Rotate through home units and other departments to gain broad nursing experience
• Complete 15-month employment commitment and develop nursing judgment in a hospital setting
