Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Cardiac Med Intermediate Patient Care Tech in Festus, MO. The role supports RN/LPN-guided patient care in a fast-paced unit that blends ED and ICU elements. You will assist with cardiac and acute respiratory patients, perform designated procedures, and contribute to a collaborative care team.

Required high school diploma or equivalent, plus BLS within one month and competency training within 3 months. Lifts up to 50 pounds, long shifts, and EMT/CNA/CPCT credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program.
• BLS certification within one month of hire.
• PCT competencies completion within 3 months of hire.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis; stand/walk for long shifts.
• Preferred EMT, Paramedic, CNA, CPCT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under RN/LPN direction to support wellness.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
• Care for cardiac and acute respiratory patients; no vents.
• Demonstrate teamwork in a fast-paced unit combining ED and ICU elements.
