This unit provides the opportunity to care for acute conditions, titrate high-risk drips, and care for patients requiring continuous telemetry. Our registered nurses receive additional training, including ECG, acute care, LVAD, and ACLS certification.

Division 2100 is a high-risk cardiology unit caring for patients with conditions like congestive heart failure, LVADs, post-cardiac device, EP, and stent procedures. The Staff Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in patient care, requiring BLS certification and ACLS certification within one year.

Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, following nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication administration.

• Develops, implements, and documents care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers.
