Job summary

The CVOR Surgical Technologist at Wellstar Health System plays a key role in providing expert cardiac surgical support. Under a surgeon's supervision, you ensure a safe operating room, proper instrument handling, and strict sterile technique for invasive procedures.

Expect to assist across complex cardiac cases, maintain patient safety, and participate in room turnover and infection control activities while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of recent Cardiac OR experience.
• Competent as scrub and first assist in complex CV procedures.
• Active on-call availability with rapid response requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile technique and prepare instruments and drapes.
• Assist in cardiac procedures, including TAVR and related cases.
• Verify patient identity and safety protocols before procedures.
• Ensure room turnover, supplies, and equipment readiness.
• Support infection prevention and ESU safety standards.
• Participate in education and quality improvement activities.
