Job summary

Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, part of Orlando Health, seeks a Cardiac OR Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver advanced perioperative care in a pediatric setting. The role requires OR experience and on‑call availability with the candidate living within 30 minutes of the hospital.

Shift is Day, with a variable full‑time status, and the department collaborates closely with Pre-Admission, A/C, and PACU teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Florida RN license required.
• On-call with 30-minute proximity requirement.
• OR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients with complex needs.
• Utilizes data to anticipate and respond to rapidly changing conditions.
• Documents patient care and communicates with medical staff and family.
• Operates and monitors specialized OR equipment and monitors cardiac rhythms.
• Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure safe perioperative care.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care and advocate for the patient.
