Job summary

Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our CVOR Open Heart program, providing perioperative and intraoperative care for complex cardiac surgery patients in a high-acuity surgical environment.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists to support safe, effective outcomes, monitor patient status, and maintain individualized care plans while ensuring safety and compassionate communication throughout the surgical experience.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with perioperative experience in a high-acuity CVOR setting.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to adapt in complex cases.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists.

Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative and intraoperative nursing care.
• Coordinate with surgical team to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
• Monitor patient status and respond to evolving clinical needs.
• Prepare, support, and maintain safe operation of CVOR equipment.
• Support patients and families through the surgical experience.
