Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care in the operating room. The role requires performing assessments, giving medications, and coordinating perioperative care within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have graduation from an accredited nursing program, WA RN licensure, OR residency or at least one year of OR experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Completion of an OR residency or
• Minimum of one year OR experience.
• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR through the American Heart Association, upon hire

Responsabilités

• Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner.
• Assesses patient including physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs and plans care accordingly.
• Documents care delivered and patient status using the nursing process and ensures physician orders are followed.
• Prepares patient for discharge and coordinates post-discharge needs.
