Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Part-Time Cardiac OR Attendant to support operating room operations. Responsibilities include transporting patients, cleaning OR suites, and assisting anesthesia staff with stocking supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent (required)
• Operating Room experience is highly preferred
• PCT experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Transport patients from inpatient/ER/ICU to pre-op holding area.
• Clean operating room suites between procedures.
• Stock anesthesia supplies in medication carts; assist anesthesia staff.
• Clean anesthesia machines and transport machines/carts as needed.
• Transport specimens and blood products to/from the lab.
• Stock formalin containers used for specimen handling and transport.
• Assist in positioning surgical patients under guidance of OR staff.
• Open sterile supplies onto the sterile field and prepare room with necessary equipment.
