Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated nurse leader to oversee direct and indirect patient care with a cardiovascular focus. You will coordinate a multi-disciplinary team, promote patient-centered care, and guide staff to achieve safe, optimal outcomes.

BSN is required and an active Nevada RN license with BLS (ACLS/PALS/NRP optional) is expected. Leadership experience in acute care and a commitment to service excellence are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN Required.
• Minimum of one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing.
• One to three years supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in physical assessment of the cardiovascular patient and fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Candidate must be comfortable with 12 lead EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmias.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing is preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire).
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
• Incumbents in this position as of 3/1/2023 with 20 years or more in the position will not require bachelor’s degree.

• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs, and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes.

• This position provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
