Job summary

Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN is seeking a Perioperative Care Technician on the Cardiac Neuro Unit to assist nurses in caring for cardiac, neuro, medical-surgical, and ICU stepdown patients requiring close monitoring.

You will help with hygiene, mobility, vital signs, documentation, and provide compassionate bedside care, including support for patients nearing the end of life. Training and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• BLS within six months of hire.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of required PCT classes for the unit.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, oral care, toileting, and linens.
• Support safe mobility, repositioning, and transfers.
• Monitor and record vital signs.
• Exposure to bodily fluids and sensitive patient situations.
• Safely lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
