Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking a Medical Surgical Acute Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver patient care. The nurse collaborates with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families, including assessments, care planning, medication administration, documentation, education, and equipment maintenance.

The role includes patient rounding to boost satisfaction, applying the nursing process, and performing technical procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient rounding to maximize satisfaction and quality standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development for patient ages as per Scope of Service.
• Promote customer service initiatives.
• Apply nursing process for individualized patient care.
• Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
