SimonMed Imaging in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outpatient MRI team. The role focuses on monitoring cardiac patients during scans, interpreting EKGs, and ensuring safety according to protocols.

You will collaborate with radiologists and technologists, manage IV therapy and contrast reactions, document in EMR, and uphold HIPAA while delivering compassionate patient care. BSN preferred; RN license required; BLS active; 2+ years in relevant settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Current BLS.
• Experience with EKG monitoring and IV therapy required.
• Minimum 2 years in an acute care, radiology, or outpatient setting.

Responsabilités

• Monitor pacemaker-dependent and cardiac patients during MRI scans.
• Analyze and interpret EKG tracings to detect arrhythmias or abnormal cardiac activity.
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition, responding to emergencies appropriately.
• Start IVs, administer medications as ordered, and manage contrast reactions.
• Assist in patient check-in, exam preparation, and education.
• Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, and other staff to coordinate care.
• Document findings in EMR accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and safety policies.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
• Support QA and continuous improvement initiatives.
