Job summary

SimonMed Imaging is seeking an MRI Cardiac Monitoring Registered Nurse to ensure patient safety during MRI exams for pacemaker-dependent and cardiac patients. This role combines advanced cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and radiology support to deliver safe, seamless imaging experiences.

The nurse will interpret EKGs, monitor cardiac activity, start IVs, administer medications, and manage contrast reactions according to established protocols, collaborating with imaging teams to ensure

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
Current RN license in the state of employment.
Current BLS certification.
Minimum 2 years nursing experience (acute care, radiology, or outpatient setting preferred).
Experience with EKG monitoring and IV therapy required.
Knowledge of MRI safety protocols, especially for implanted devices.

Responsibilities

Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms during MRI procedures.
Interpret EKGs and identify arrhythmias to maintain patient safety.
Perform IV starts and administer medications per orders; manage contrast reactions.
Apply MRI safety protocols for patients with implanted devices or complex conditions.
Collaborate with technologists, radiologists and staff to ensure safe, coordinated care.
Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR.
