Job Title: Monitoring Technician

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Pleasanton, CA 94588

Responsibilities include receiving ECG transmissions, technical analysis of ECG data, generating reports, and communication with physicians and patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Stay up-to-date on clinical knowledge, especially ECG rhythm interpretation.
2. Review ECG recordings for clinical accuracy and evaluate for notification criteria, documenting actions taken.
3. Notify Monitoring Technician Level II of ECG abnormalities per physician notification protocol.
4. Ensure quality assurance of readings and reports.
5. Assist in activating EMS when necessary.
6. Respond to incoming calls from patients sending recordings, following the WE CARE approach.
7. Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 months related experience
• Active CRAT/CCT certification or RN or Paramedic/EMT with current ACLS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology.
