Assures proper procedures regarding telemetry monitoring are followed. Follows established policies and procedures for documenting and reporting patient information. Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide quality patient care and a safe environment.

Job Description

Essential Function:

- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

* Recognizes the patients, their family/designated care partner(s) in providing safe, compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patient's personal preferences, priorities, needs, and cultural beliefs and values.

* Minimizes risk of harm to patients and others by following established nursing practices and protocols and individual performance.

* Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support ethical decision making.

* Continuously and attentively monitors patients' cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry, accurately interpreting and communicating baseline variations to Registered Nurse.

* Collects data and documents interpreted rhythms and significant events during shift. Completes required reporting.

* Maintains equipment and assists with application, return, and troubleshooting, escalating according to established procedures if necessary.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required

- Telemetry Experience or Cardiac Monitor Experience Required

- Arrhythmia Certification Required
