With a commitment to patient- and family-centered care, provides continuous surveillance of telemetry patients in ways that value the uniqueness of each individual and address the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of the diverse patients served by Jefferson Health. Ensures proper procedures regarding telemetry monitoring are followed. Follows established policies and procedures for documenting and reporting patient information. Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide quality patient care and a safe environment.

Essential Functions:

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with Jefferson's values.
• Recognizes patients and their families or care partners, providing safe, compassionate, and coordinated care based on respect for personal preferences, priorities, needs, and cultural beliefs.
• Minimizes risk of harm by following established nursing practices and protocols.
• Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate errors, and support ethical decision-making.
• Continuously monitors patients’ cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry, accurately interpreting and communicating baseline variations to the Registered Nurse.
• Collects data and documents interpreted rhythms and significant events during the shift. Completes required reporting.
• Maintains equipment and assists with application, troubleshooting, and returning of equipment, escalating issues as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous telemetry and/or patient care experience preferred.
• Cardiac Monitor Certification required.

Work Shift: Evening shift (United States of America).

Location: 5501 Old York Road, Philadelphia, PA.
