Position: Per Diem Rotating Cardiac Monitor Tech

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff in accordance with Jefferson's values.
  • Recognize patients and their families or care partners, providing safe, compassionate, and coordinated care respecting their preferences, needs, and cultural beliefs.
  • Minimize harm by adhering to established nursing practices, protocols, and personal performance standards.
  • Utilize information technology for communication, knowledge management, error mitigation, and ethical decision-making support.
  • Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry continuously, accurately interpreting and communicating baseline variations to the Registered Nurse.
  • Collect data, document interpreted rhythms, and report significant events during the shift, completing all required documentation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, escalating issues as per procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Monitor Tech
  • EKG Certificate or Tele Technician Certification required
  • Availability to work 3-12 hour shifts every 6 weeks
  • One weekend shift every 6 weeks
  • Holiday availability required
  • Ability to work day and night shifts
