Job description

Cardiac Monitor Tech Transport - Allegheny General Hospital - Steady Nights - Full Time

Transports patients throughout the facility and performs continuous observation, interpretation, and communication of cardiac rhythms for patients being transported on a cardiac monitor.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Transport patients on cardiac monitors from their rooms to testing sites and back, scheduled appropriately; accurately analyze and interpret ECG rhythms according to procedure. (85%)
2. Assist in coordinating multiple patient testing when necessary. (5%)
3. Provide information and directions to patients and visitors. (5%)
4. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

• Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia training course upon hire.
• CPR certification – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance

Preferred

• BLS and CPR certifications preferred.
