Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Transport patients throughout the facility. Perform continuous observation, interpretation, and communication of cardiac rhythms for patients being transported on a cardiac monitor.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Transport patients on cardiac monitors from their rooms to testing sites and back on a scheduled basis; accurately analyze and interpret ECG rhythms according to procedure. (85%)
2. Assist in coordinating multiple patient testing when necessary. (5%)
3. Provide information and directions to patients and visitors. (5%)
4. Maintain transportation equipment in good working condition. (5%)
5. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

• Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia training course upon hire is required.
• CPR – American Heart Association certification
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

• BLS and CPR certification preferred
