Job Summary:

Provides technical support for the acquisition and interpretation of cardiac tracings needed to diagnose or rule-out cardiac disease in an inpatient population using hardwired or wireless cardiac monitoring equipment. May also provide oversight of pulse oximetry monitoring.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Monitor Technician to join our healthcare team. The primary responsibility of this role is the continuous observation of cardiac rhythms in patients requiring telemetry monitoring. The technician will promptly report any dysrhythmias to the appropriate medical personnel.

Schedule:

PRN: 4 shifts per 6 weeks

6:45 am to 7:15 pm, or 6:45 pm to 7:15 am.

Rotating weekends and holidays

*Set schedules are not available. Clinical staffing needs determine schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
  2. Report any abnormalities or dysrhythmias to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  3. Maintain accurate records of patient data and observations.
  4. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in cardiac telemetry monitoring.
  2. Successful completion of an electrocardiogram (EKG) course.
  3. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. High level of professionalism and reliability.
  5. Proficient computer skills.
