Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking an RN for Med Surg/Cardiac in Decatur, IL, working PRN Nights. The role focuses on patient-centered nursing care, collaboration with physicians and the care team, and patient education to promote independence and health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and carries out the nursing process with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications and self-care skills; answer questions.
• Ensure quality of care by adhering to standards and regulations and evaluating health outcomes.
