Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, educate families, and collaborate across departments to coordinate care.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• Associate Degree in Nursing is required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred for advancement

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care to promote understanding and adherence.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.
• Document patient information, care activities and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Monitor and adjust care plans to improve health outcomes and ensure safety.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed in the unit.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare team members to maintain quality care.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly to stabilize patients.
