RWJBarnabas Health’s Jersey City Medical Center seeks a Cardio Invasive Specialist to join the Cardiac Catheter Lab. The role requires RCIS certification or a radiology license, BLS, and at least two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
• Current RCIS certification or Radiology license.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Marks images correctly to ensure accurate identification.
• Ensure patient comfort and well-being during procedures.
• Explain procedures and keep patients informed of progress.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Perform daily X-ray checks and use the information system for cases.
• Act as preceptor/trainer for new technology and procedures; serve as resource for all disciplines.
• Assist with prompt room turnover and proper data collection for studies.
