Job summary

VHC Health in Arlington, VA, offers a Summer 2027 New Graduate Nurse Residency in 3A Cardiac IMCU. The program is a structured, paid residency with precepted practice, cohort sessions and leadership development designed to bridge school and professional nursing.

As an accredited PTAP program, it supports new graduates with education, clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice skills, preparing you for a rewarding nursing career.

Qualifications

• RN licensure (Virginia or Compact)
• BLS certification required
• New Graduate with 1 year nursing/patient care in acute care setting
• ACLS/PALS certification as applicable to units (ED/ICU etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect total nursing care to assigned patients.
• Supervise nursing support staff on shift.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures and maintain clinical documentation.
