Job summary

Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Coronary Intensive Care/Cardiac ICU. The role involves 24 hours per week with 5p-5a shifts, in a 24-bed unit handling complex cardiac cases and post-procedural care.

Qualifications include 0-2 years clinical nursing experience, RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred. Benefits and a sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience required or student rotations in acute care.
• RN licensure and/or compact state licensure required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred depending on unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in the CIC unit.
• Administers medications and monitors for adverse effects per orders.
• Assists physicians during procedures and supports ICU therapies.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in code team activities.
• Ensures patient safety and infection control throughout care delivery.
• Document care and education thoroughly in the medical record.
