Job summary

Mount Carmel Nurses are the heartbeat of our health system with opportunities for both new graduates and experienced nurses. The Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit at Mount Carmel East is a 28-bed unit focusing on cardiac and vascular care, offering a mix of cases and strong collaboration with vascular surgeons.

We are part of Mount Carmel East's integrated cardiovascular center and Trauma Center, with a modern, patient-centered facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care.
• Experience with EMR or electronic charting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice.
• Administer medications under the provider's direction.
• Assist in emergency situations and respond to urgent needs.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatments.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate and delegate tasks.
