Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) invites applications for a Regular RN position at MUSC facilities. You will deliver nursing care using the nursing process and lead a multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs in a CVICU setting.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, active RN licensure (SC BON or compact), BLS certification, and at least one year of RN experience. It is an hourly role with 36 hours per week and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• RN licensure with SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Provide patient/family centered care focusing on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs, per MUSC policies.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment with patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Participates in professional practice model, governance, and accountability for actions and critical thinking.
• Coordinates delivery of patient care using care management principles to improve outcomes.
• Engages in shared governance and promotes a healthy work environment.
