Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an RN for the Cardiovascular Critical Care unit in Newark, DE. This full-time, 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) position involves caring for high-acuity cardiac patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

BSN required or in progress, with at least two years of stepdown experience and BLS/ACLS. Delaware RN licensure or eligibility is needed. Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 may be offered over two years.

Qualifications

• BSN required (or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire)
• Experience caring for high acuity patients required
• At least two years of stepdown experience required
• Previous critical care experience strongly preferred
• BLS & ACLS certifications required
• Cardiac dysrhythmia proficiency required
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for high-acuity cardiac patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, residents, surgeons, and physician assistants
• Participate in daily patient-focused rounds to ensure optimal outcomes
• Manage complex interventions such as titration of vasoactive medications, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, IABP, CRRT, VADs, and ECMO as applicable
