Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians in Macon, GA is seeking a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join the Cardiac Critical Care team. This full-time, night-shift role provides 24-hour, on-site coverage for high-acuity cardiac patients.

The role involves direct patient care, developing and implementing treatment plans, ordering tests, and performing advanced procedures under physician supervision within PHI standards.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's PA degree and national board certification.
• Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as an NP by the State of Georgia with National Certification.
• ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services for critically ill adult patients under physician supervision.
• Formulate and implement treatment plans for acute illness in collaboration with the supervising physician.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests.
• Perform approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based on patient status.
• Incorporate clinical research findings into standards of care and support clinical trials.
